Privacy Policy
Draft for review by Fahtel Digital Hub before public launch. This document will be updated as FAHMS develops.
Two kinds of data
FAHMS account and profile data is what we need to run your account. Customer-controlled patient and clinical data — DICOM studies, patient details, reports, case and consultation content — is processed on your device or encrypted in your browser so FAHMS cannot read it.
Information we collect
- Account information: name, email, username, password (stored as a secure hash by our authentication provider).
- Professional profile: designation, specialty, credentials, institution, country, languages, availability, photo and visibility choices.
- Organization information: organizations you create or join, your role and permissions.
- Usage and technical information: sign-in events, audit records of account, case and consultation actions, browser and device information needed to operate the service.
- Payment information: plan, amount, status and payment reference. Card details are handled by Paystack and are not stored by FAHMS.
Clinical information and DICOM data
DICOM files are read and rendered in your browser. Image pixels, measurements and annotations are not uploaded to FAHMS. When you send a study, it is encrypted on your device and held temporarily until it is delivered or expires.
Case clinical details, reports, consultation questions, responses and messages are encrypted in your browser. FAHMS stores only encrypted content plus workflow information such as status, priority, timestamps and who is involved.
AI processing
FAHMS does not currently use AI to process your data. If AI features are introduced, this policy will be updated before they are enabled.
Cookies and analytics
We use only the storage needed to keep you signed in and remember preferences. We do not use advertising or third-party analytics trackers. See the Cookie Policy.
Service providers
We use a hosting and database provider, an authentication provider and Paystack for payments. They process account data on our behalf only to provide the service.
Security, retention and deletion
Account data is kept while your account is active. Encrypted transfers are deleted after delivery or expiry. Local cases and reports stay in your browser until you delete them. To close your account, contact support.
Your rights
You can view and update your profile in Account Settings, change your profile visibility, and ask us for a copy or deletion of your account data, subject to records we must keep for legal or security reasons.
Organization responsibilities
Organizations and professionals using FAHMS decide which patient data they open and share, and remain responsible for their own legal obligations toward patients.
International transfers
Our providers may process account data outside your country. Patient content is encrypted before it leaves your device.
Children
FAHMS is for healthcare professionals and is not intended for children.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and note significant changes in the app.
